The Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that it will be hosting their bi-annual Business Excellence Awards on Friday, September 29.
The BEA’s, sponsored by Meridian Credit Union, are presented every two years and recognize local businesses whose leadership, constructive vision, competitive edge, and positive contributions have stimulated and encouraged growth and development within Greater Fort Erie.
The Gala showcases the outstanding accomplishments and entrepreneurial spirit of our business leaders and community-minded citizens.

There are 11 award categories open for nomination. 7 are business awards and 4 are for individuals. All businesses who have been operating within the Town of Fort Erie for more than 1 year are eligible to be nominated. Businesses do not have to be members of the Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce. Individuals/companies may nominate themselves if they wish to do so.

A business with 10 or fewer employees that has demonstrated success across all award category criteria.
A business with 11+ employees, or sole proprietorship that has demonstrated success across all award category criteria.
A business that demonstrates technology, innovation, or environmental enhancements through improvements to their day-to-day op-erations. These initiatives have led to either enhanced productivity, improved product quality, or less impact on the environment.
An individual or company that goes above and beyond in valuing employees through investments in training, career development & advancement opportunities, and / or promotion of a balanced work/home lifestyle.
A business in operation for only 1-2 years but in that short time has demonstrated success in the marketplace with a promising future. This award is reserved for NEW business. Existing business with new ownership are not eligible.
Whether it is parents with infants, elderly, or individuals with disabilities, this award is given to a business that is consistently striving to ensure their premises and/or the way they conduct business is accessible to all.
A new award that will be presented to a business whose marketing and brand extends throughout Niagara or beyond and works to draw visitors and/or consumers to the Fort Erie community and economy.
Awarded to a successful business person who continuously demonstrates vision, innovation, and contributes towards continues growth for the company they work for, or own as a sole proprietorship.
An individual who selflessly gives of their time to champion the causes of others, and makes giving back to their community a corner-stone of their personal and business life.
An individual under the age of 35 who has demonstrated the drive and determination to succeed and has become a valued and re-spected member of the Fort Erie business community.
An employee who continually goes above and beyond in the delivery of exceptional service within the organization. Nominated by their employer or co-worker, this individual exemplifies the desire to ensure that customers and clients are the #1 focus.
