"When we first moved to Fort Erie to open our B&B we did not know what to expect. Before I even considered the B&B I contacted Town Hall on line to see how difficult it would be to establish a B&B in the town first. Then came the move...After doing all that was necessary for the licensing of our B&B. We joined the Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce. It was the best thing we had ever done. We have met so many terrific and wonderful business people here. Which I am happy to say are friends now. Personally and I have told others that if you want to start up a business in Fort Erie. The first thing you do is contact the GFECC. They will help you with everything.. from networking @ BA5 to your grand openings of your business. The GFECC is the in and out of all that needs to know about establishing a business here. Both my husband and I are most grateful for all their help from the operations manager Karen Audet, to the directors on the board. It has been a pleasure meeting and seeing you all @ the BA5, general meetings, and fundraisers. The GFECC is truly a godsend to all businesses in Fort Erie. We have only opened May 2008 and now have tripled are guest list in 2009. Thanks to the GFECC."

"When the United Way of Niagara Falls and the United Way of Greater Fort Erie amalgamated in April of 2007 and became the United Way of Niagara Falls and Greater Fort Erie, I felt it was important to keep a presence in Greater Fort Erie. I feel that the Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce has allotted us that option with the Business After Five, the membership directory, the newsletters and other functions and events. It is also great to see how the Chamber has become such a vibrant organization in the community."

"South Niagara Life Centre (SNLC) sends thanks out to Karen Audet and the Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce newsletter for graciously helping to bring greater awareness to the availability of our services, in southern Niagara; close by to the very people who need them. We at SNLC have seen an increase in new clientele using our services (presently already serving over 125 needs) and, thankfully, greater financial support in moving our vision forward, i.e. “Offering help, hope, and healing, ...because no one should have to go it alone.” We finished last year in the black and have funding to cover our basic needs through February, without my limited staff having to choose between helping people or creating another fundraiser, prior to our March 26th Social. In June 2010, By Request was given the opportunity to entertain at the BA5 that took place at The Holiday Inn Fort Erie.
